Our CEO, Robin Wickham, has written an opinion piece for the Clinical Trial Supply and Logistics Supplement in the Summer 2026 issue of International Clinical Trials.

His take: when a trial stalls, the blame usually lands on the site, the country, or the patient population - rarely on the supply chain decisions made, or never made, before the first item was ever ordered. Robin walks through a scenario that plays out across the industry - supplies sitting for weeks because a country was added to the protocol late - and unpicks why it so often gets misread as a site problem rather than a planning one. He also puts numbers on what it actually costs: phase 3 delays running into six or seven figures, and a dropped patient costing three times what it took to recruit them in the first place.
