Business Development Manager (UK)

Location: UK, Remote

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and driving new business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organisations (CROs), and other key players in the clinical trials industry. You will work in a consultative sales environment, leveraging your expertise to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in sales, or someone with a nursing, medical, or science background who is eager to transition into a commercial role and has the aptitude to succeed in a sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to grow sales and revenue within the clinical trials sector.

Identify and build relationships with decision-makers and influencers at pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and other organisations.

Deliver tailored presentations and proposals to customers, showcasing the value of CGM and metabolic monitoring solutions.

Manage the sales process from lead generation to close, with support from the internal sales team.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Monitor market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for growth.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts within Salesforce.

Attend and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.

Key Skills & Experience

A degree, ideally in a science or business-related field, or equivalent professional experience.

At least 5 years’ experience in a consultative sales role, preferably within the clinical trials, healthcare, or medical equipment sectors.

Alternatively, candidates with a nursing, medical, or science background who demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a keen interest in transitioning into a commercial role will also be considered, with relevant training and support provided.

Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and close sales.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, and strong IT skills.

A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
