Junior Buyer

Location: Horwich, Bolton

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Purchasing Department working within the Clinical Trials division of a global medical equipment supplier. This role is an exciting opportunity and will involve sourcing a variety of products and suppliers from around the World to accelerate the further expansion of our global presence.

About the role

Working closely with the Head of Purchasing, and the Procurement Projects and Sourcing Manager, you will be given the opportunity to develop your skills to play an important role in procurement, sourcing and supplier development. This includes supporting the Sales and Project Management teams with product quoting and sourcing, and developing your regulatory knowledge to understand product suitability for clinical trial locations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Negotiation and placement of purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Ensuring goods are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Supporting the business with timely customer quotations.
  • Contributing to delivering supply chain improvement initiatives.

Qualifications requirement

No experience necessary. Full training will be provided.
